2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari in Volcanoes National Park

This 2 days Rwanda gorilla safari will reward you a memorable visit to Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas (Gorilla Beringei Beringei) in just two days with enough time to rest. Unlike the one day package, this package has the first day reserved mainly for a brief city tour around Kigali, transfer, and relaxation and then the second for gorilla tracking and departure hence, this 2 days tour is the shortest a traveler who is yet to travel to Rwanda can do.

This Rwanda gorilla trekking safaris package can be booked in all travel setting i.e budget, mid-range or luxury depending on a client’s preference though we recommend mid-range or luxury considering the fact that Rwanda hardly has any nice budget accommodation facilities around Volcanoes National Park.

Rwanda is a safe country to visit. Especially if you want to join organised game drives with private guides, as you will do with us. There are, of course, some places to avoid in big cities like Kigali. But – as with everywhere else in the world – you’ll be fine by taking some precautions. Just some examples to be on the safe side (pun intended): don’t explore the city at night without a driver or guide, keep your valuables close to you, avoid wearing big and visible jewellery and leave some things like passports in the hotel safe.

This is an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. This trip is made just for you, exactly as you want it! Our experienced travel consultants will make sure that your wishes come true. There are numerous advantages to such a trip. First, you can cruise around in a private safari vehicle and have a personal guide. It’s completely up to you what time you leave in the morning and when you come back (taking into account your guide’s advice, of course). Secondly, once you’re in a national park, you can observe specific animals or herds for as long as you like. No one will push you to move along. And lastly, knowing your wishes, your personal guide will give you the right tips, turning your trip into an unforgettable experience.

At Jeresh Africa Safaris, we’re all about co-creating your perfect journey. When you plan your African adventures with us, you’re not just booking a trip; you’re embarking on a personalised experience. We start by understanding your wishes and preferences, and we won’t stop until every aspect of your journey aligns perfectly with your vision. Our team works closely with you to ensure that your entire trip is tailor-made to your satisfaction. And for added convenience, we offer a selection of our most popular African tours and safaris as a starting point for your consideration.

Itinerary

This 2 days Rwanda gorilla safari will reward you a memorable visit to Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas (Gorilla Beringei Beringei) in just two days with enough time to rest. Unlike the one day package, this package has the first day reserved mainly for a brief city tour around Kigali, transfer, and relaxation and then the second for gorilla tracking and departure hence, this 2 days tour is the shortest a traveler who is yet to travel to Rwanda can do.

Day 1:

Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon your arrival, you will be met by our tour company representative plus a guide at the airport and transferred to Kigali City for a brief city tour. We shall have our lunch from the historic Hotel Mille Des Collines (where the Hotel Rwanda blockbuster movie was shot from), visit cultural villages and craft shops, pay our tribute to the fallen Rwandans at the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Monument and later on transfer to Ruhengeri / Musanze amidst the magical views and hills and mountains of Rwanda that earned her the status of being referred to as “The Land of a thousand hills and mountains”.

Upon our arrival at Volcanoes National Park, we shall have a heavy dinner meal, relax and have an early night because we have to prepare enough for a very physically challenging mountain gorilla tracking activity the following day.

Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) and Kinigi Guest House (Budget)
Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2:

Mountain Gorilla trekking and Departure

This day calls for a very early pick up considering the fact that we have to be at the part headquarters by 07:30 am for a 30 minutes briefing meeting with our packed lunch. It is from this meeting that we will be assigned gorilla groups to track and given knowledge, rules, and precautions about gorilla trekking.

When we are done with the briefing, we shall head into the park jungles to search for our longtime brothers and sisters, an activity that will last somewhere from two to eight hours depending on how they move. Upon locating them, we shall have a full hour with these gorillas taking photos and interacting with them before we return to the park headquarters for our respective gorilla tracking certificates.

Upon finishing your adventurous trek, we shall then transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.

Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch

End of 2 days Rwanda gorilla Safari.

THE BEST HOTELS FOR A PERFECT SAFARI

Jeresh Africa Safaris specialists know how accommodations can greatly elevate or lessen the joy of your overall travel experience. This is why we offer hundreds of accommodations to choose from and love to help find the best ones for you!
Our accommodations are divided into 3 categories, based on the quality of services and amenities. Curious to know what we mean by Luxury, Mid range, and Low Budget? Read it here!

Low Budget Accommodation

Our Low budget accommodations are comfortable and affordable options for a pleasant stay in Africa. Nothing glamourous or luxurious, but you can expect decent and enjoyable lodging for an overnight stay. All properties are well-maintained and provide clean rooms, comfy beds, hot water showers, and lovely dining rooms. The minor points may be that WiFi might only be available in some areas, and dinner usually comes in the form of a buffet.
However, these properties usually lie in beautiful surroundings, and some boast swimming pools or other extras.

Mid Range Accommodation

Our Mid range accommodations take it again to the next level, as they offer beautifully designed lodges and resorts in the most amazing locations. The service in these places is impeccable, all amenities you can think of are present, and rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. Oftentimes, they boast private plunge pools or luxurious outside rain showers, wide beds, exquisite food, amazing service and beautiful terraces with fluffy sofas. And of course, these accommodations boast the most remarkable views over extraordinary landscapes.

Luxury Accommodation

Our Luxury accommodations offer the ultimate luxury experience in Africa. Nothing less than the best of the best! We present you with the most exquisite and unique spots Rwanda has to offer. Places that pamper you with the utmost luxury and comfort in special settings that will give your African adventure a memorable twist.
You stay in places that are unique in their design, geographical location and service, as you sleep for example on private islands, in treetop rooms inside national parks or on the rim of a crater. You experience the utmost privacy and seclusion, while you enjoy sundowners in private plunge pools or outdoor bathtubs with a view, indulge in haute cuisine in fine restaurants, get pampered in a luxury spa or with in-room massages, and get your morning coffee served by private butlers while watching the wildlife from your terrace…

Best Time To Visit Kenya

The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Kenya. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely
